Treasury of Laughter Has Returned . . . Again

All right everyone out there in Blog Land, the Treasury of Laughter is back. Cue the appropriate scene:

Used here under the fair use doctrine for educational purposes. Advance film to about 4:06.

And yeah, if this blog had any audience at all, I’m sure they’d be giving me the same stunned-bunny looks those Lake-Men give Thorin when he pops out of that barrel. But no matter. I’m back, and that’s what counts.

I Know, I Know

Big wind with recommencing the updates, and hey, only one since then.

I'll confess: My book is in sad shape. It's going back to the book press for a second round, and this time I won't touch it until my wife tells me it's ready. So until then, enjoy a little bit of Ned Flanders.

Nice, Uh, Hiatus . . .

While the vacation was nice, it’s obviously time to get back to work.

And since my wife was kind enough to fix my copy of “The Treasury of Laughter” in her home made book press, I can actually open up and use and read the book without fear that it would fall apart in my hands. It’s still a bit delicate, but it’s a lot more robust now after her careful repairs. (Anyone interested in seeing our home made press in action, let me know in the comment section here.)

Hiatus 2010

Yes, it's true this time. Not like last year, when T'aint settled upon me and I had lots of idle time on my hands. This year, I truly am taking a blogging hiatus for Christmas. Mostly. But here, definitely. See y'all in January.

Back On

Yes, I know I mentioned mid-September or later. I'm still doing the
online teaching thing. Still doing the novel thing. Still doing the
husband and father thing. But I also still want to be doing this thing.

So later today, a (rather boring) visit with Irvin S. Cobb.

Going on Hiatus

Regular followers of this blog (thanks, Mom!) may have noticed a paucity of posts here lately. For that I apologize. I am here to say that, as of now, this blog is on a temporary hiatus. The free time I've been using to do the reading and writing for this blog has evaporated, at least temporarily, as I take on the challenge of becoming an online instructor of English at a local university. Once I'm through online certification and maybe the first half of my first class, which starts in September, I'll be able to pick things up here again.
